This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Due to a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair and data recovery. Most Seagate PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM “memory” chip that is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board; if the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant.
