What you will receive: the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the unit shipped may look slightly different from the photo. This circuit board is sold for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will solve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many Seagate PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for correct drive operation; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
