This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock many similar PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, verify whether a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirming compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs store unique configuration in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If you cannot perform this yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide complimentary adaptation service, which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
