This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the physical hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB is the appropriate fix by following our hard drive diagnostics guide. Also verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique parameters in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a qualified local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
