This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we keep a large inventory of PCBs, the actual board shipped may vary slightly from the pictured item. These circuit boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a board swap will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For customers with purchases of $60 or more, we include complimentary adaptation service — either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
