This sale is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) ONLY — the disk drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended uses: data recovery and hard drive repair. Most PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer.
