Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the picture. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Most hard drive circuit boards store unique information on the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer.
