This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended for hard drive repair and data recovery, this replacement PCB should be confirmed as compatible before use. Note that most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly and must be transferred to the replacement board — either by moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or by reprogramming the new board with the original ROM contents. If physical chip transfer is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the procedure.
