This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no HDD or other components are included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the actual board shipped may vary slightly from the pictured example. Intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Prior to purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify donor compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If physical transfer of the chip is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the task. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
