This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large quantity of PCBs in stock, the board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery tasks. Most Seagate PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for proper drive operation; the ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer; alternatively, for orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service which includes moving the ROM chip or reprogramming the new PCB with the correct ROM data.
