This listing is for a replacement hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before buying, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for the drive to function correctly; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot transfer the chip yourself, a local computer technician can usually perform the chip transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto your new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
