This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. The board is intended for HDD repair and data recovery use. Before ordering, confirm that a PCB replacement will address your issue by consulting our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in the ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be desoldered and transferred, a local computer technician should be able to perform the work. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
