This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery tasks. Most HDD circuit boards include unique data stored in the ROM memory chip that is required for correct drive operation; that ROM data (or the chip itself) must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer, a local computer technician can typically relocate the ROM chip.
