This listing is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large quantity of boards, the PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This replacement board is intended for HDD repair and data-recovery use. Before ordering, confirm a PCB swap will resolve the problem by using our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: many Seagate PCBs contain unique ROM data stored in a memory chip; that ROM content is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If you are unable to perform the transfer, a local computer technician can usually handle the chip transplant. Orders of $60 or more include complimentary adaptation service — we will either move the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the board with the correct ROM data.
