Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the pictured unit. The board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Most of these PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM 'memory' chip that is required for proper drive operation; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the original ROM chip can be moved to the new PCB, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer.
