This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the unit you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These boards are intended for data recovery and hard drive repair tasks. Before buying, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs store unique settings in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly and must be transferred to the replacement board. If possible, a local computer technician can transplant the ROM chip for you. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or programs the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
