This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we have a large stock of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: repair or data recovery for compatible 2.5" Seagate drives. Before purchasing, confirm that swapping the PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide. Verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board for proper function. If the ROM chip can be desoldered and moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
