This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large number of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These Seagate 2.5" SATA PCBs are sold for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap is the right repair by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verifying compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many drive PCBs contain unique firmware data stored in a ROM memory chip; that ROM and its contents are required for correct drive operation and must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If you cannot transplant the ROM chip yourself, a local computer technician can usually perform the chip move. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip to your new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
