This sale includes the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the product photos. Intended use: data recovery or repair of Seagate 2.5" drives. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique drive configuration in the ROM memory chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly; the ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogram the new board with the proper ROM data.
