This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are intended for HDD repair and data recovery tasks. Most Seagate PCBs store unique factory data in a ROM memory chip; that data is required for proper drive operation and must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a qualified local technician can usually perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or programming the new board with the correct ROM data.
