This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB replacement will address your drive problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs store unique configuration data in the ROM memory chip; this information is required for the drive to function correctly. You must transfer the ROM chip or its data to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the swap. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
