Item is the hard drive circuit board / logic board only — hard drive is NOT included. Because we stock large quantities, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery tasks. Before ordering, use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many Seagate PCBs contain unique ROM "memory" data that is required for normal drive operation; that ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If physical chip transfer is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the swap. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
