This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large number of these boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in data recovery and HDD repair. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by consulting our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs store unique drive data in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM content is required for proper drive operation and must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
