This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of these boards, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs include unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
