This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. The board is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the picture. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself or its data must be transferred to the replacement board; if the chip can be physically moved, a qualified local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
