Product is the hard drive circuit board / logic board ONLY — no HDD included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the pictured example. This board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will address your drive issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs contain a unique ROM chip that stores critical drive information; that ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
