Listing is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This circuit board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. To determine whether a replacement PCB will resolve your problem, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; this information is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. When the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either relocates the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
