This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be moved to the replacement board or reprogrammed onto it. If transplanting the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to your new PCB or reprograms the board with the correct ROM data.
