This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. We keep a large inventory of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photograph. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, verify that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by using our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and confirm compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM ("memory") chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer, a local computer technician should be able to move the chip. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
