This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the unit you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs contain unique information stored in the ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM data (or the ROM chip itself) must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
