This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Item is intended for use in data recovery or HDD repair. Because we have many PCBs in stock, the unit you receive may look slightly different from the photo. Please confirm compatibility before purchasing by using our Donor Matching Guide and running the hard drive Diagnostics Guide to determine whether a replacement PCB can resolve the issue. Many Seagate PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the swap. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
