This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Most Seagate drive PCBs store unique configuration data in the ROM memory chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip (or its contents) must be transferred to the replacement board — if the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
