This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We have a large inventory of PCBs, so the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery situations. Before ordering, verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. You must transfer the ROM chip or its data to the replacement board. If moving the chip is feasible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
