This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the physical hard drive is not included. We stock a large number of these boards, so the PCB you receive may vary slightly from the pictured unit. Intended uses: data recovery and hard drive repair. Prior to purchase, confirm a PCB swap will address your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most Seagate PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in an onboard ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can typically perform the task. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
