This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Due to large quantities of PCBs in stock, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for data recovery and HDD repair, this replacement PCB may restore function when matched correctly to the donor drive. Before ordering, use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm that a PCB swap is likely to resolve the problem, and review the Donor Matching Guide to verify compatibility. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique settings stored in a ROM (memory) chip that are required for the drive to operate properly. That ROM chip — or its contents — must be moved to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If you cannot perform this yourself, a local computer technician can often transplant the chip. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transfer the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
