This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are intended for HDD repair and data-recovery work. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB is the correct fix by using our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM “memory” chip; that data is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If the ROM can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or programming the new board with the correct ROM data.
