This sale is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the specific board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before attempting a swap, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most replacement PCBs contain unique ROM memory data required for correct drive operation; the ROM chip or its data must be moved or copied to the new board. If transferring the ROM chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the soldering or transplant. For customers with purchases of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip to the replacement board or reprogramming the new PCB with the correct ROM data.
