This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store unique, mandatory information in the ROM memory chip; that ROM data (or the physical ROM chip) must be transferred to the replacement board for proper operation. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can typically move the chip. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
