This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we have a large supply, the exact PCB sent may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for hard drive repair and data recovery, this board should be used only after confirming compatibility. Use our hard drive diagnostics guide to verify a PCB swap will likely fix the problem, and consult the Donor Matching Guide to ensure the part matches your drive. Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique information in ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for proper drive operation, so the ROM chip or its contents must be moved to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer, a local computer technician can usually handle soldering or chip transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
