Sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before ordering, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM ("memory") chip; that ROM data must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
