This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Many Seagate PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM (“memory”) chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer professional can usually move the chip.
