This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. The exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo because we stock a large quantity of compatible PCBs. Designed primarily for drive repair and data-recovery work. Many hard drive PCBs store unique parameters in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If physical transfer is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the soldering or chip swap. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
