The Safavieh Savonnerie rug is Floor Decor available in multiple sizes. Its simple design suits a range of home decor. Use a rug pad to reduce shifting and sliding. This item is sku-47219683, UPC 683726614487. For routine care, vacuum thoroughly and frequently with a canister vacuum, preferably without beater bars. Vacuum more often in high-traffic areas, and avoid vacuuming fringes.

Blot spills promptly with a clean cloth; rubbing can drive stains deeper. For stains, apply the foam from a mixture of water, white vinegar and mild detergent, then blot away the residue. Professional cleaning is recommended for stubborn stains. For a rug made of 100 percent viscose, use a carpet sweeper for regular cleaning. If vacuuming, use low power with the beater bars disengaged or raised.

Clean viscose stains with a damp cloth and mild cleanser; a little fabric softener on the stained area can help preserve softness. New wool rugs may shed. A rug pad reduces friction, and vacuuming 1-2 times a week in the direction of the pile can reduce shedding during the first few weeks. Shedding generally diminishes within 4-6 months. Clip loose ends or stray loops rather than pulling them.

Shipping creases can settle on their own or be reduced by reverse rolling. Put protectors beneath heavy furniture to limit pile flattening, and keep the rug out of direct sunlight to reduce fading. For indoor-outdoor rugs, follow the label's care instructions. Sweep and vacuum regularly, blot spills without rubbing, and sponge stains with a little cold water.

For periodic cleaning, rinse with a garden hose and dry both sides over a railing.
