The Safavieh Oushak rug is Floor Decor available in multiple sizes. SKU: sku-47219664; UPC: 683726411710. A rug pad is recommended to help prevent shifting. For routine indoor care, vacuum thoroughly and frequently, preferably with a canister vacuum without beater bars; rugs in busy areas need more frequent vacuuming. Avoid vacuuming fringe. Blot liquid spills promptly with a clean cloth without rubbing. For stains, gently apply the foam from a mixture of water, white vinegar and mild detergent, then blot away residue. Professional cleaning is recommended for stubborn stains. The supplied care guidance also covers different rug fibers and placements. For a rug made from 100 percent viscose, use a carpet sweeper for regular cleaning. If vacuuming, use low power and disengage or raise the beater bars. Blot stains with a damp cloth and mild cleanser when needed; the vinegar mixture may be used for tougher stains. A small amount of fabric softener on the stained area can help preserve softness. New wool rugs may shed. A rug pad can reduce friction; vacuum a new wool rug 1 to 2 times a week for the first few weeks, on low pressure without beater bars and in the direction of the pile. Shedding generally diminishes within 4 to 6 months. Clip loose ends or loops with scissors rather than pulling them. Creases from packing may settle on their own, or the rug can be reverse rolled. Protect the pile beneath heavy furniture and limit direct sunlight to reduce fading. For indoor-outdoor rugs, follow the label's material-specific instructions. Sweep and vacuum regularly, blot spills without rubbing, and sponge stains with cold water. Periodic cleaning can include rinsing with a garden hose and drying both sides over a railing in sunlight.
