E71T-11 is a versatile flux-cored welding wire formulated for all-position, single-pass and limited multiple-pass butt, lap and fillet welds on carbon or galvanized steel from 16 gauge up to ½" thick. (Do not use on steel plates thicker than ¾".) This self-shielding wire requires no external shielding gas, making it especially useful outdoors or in situations where gas cylinders are impractical or weather may compromise a gas-shielded arc. The wire delivers a very stable arc with low spatter and easy-to-remove slag, offering a convenient solution for outdoor construction work where impact properties are not the primary concern. Common applications include structural beams, prefab building construction, tanks, ornamental iron, farm implements and machinery parts. Spool weight: 2 Lb.
