Overview - Rockville W12K9D4 (K9 Series) 12" Dual 4-Ohm Subwoofer: Designed for high-output car audio, this woofer delivers a Peak Power Handling of 4000 Watts, Program Power Handling of 2000 Watts, and a CEA rated RMS Power Handling of 1000 Watts. It uses 3" 4-layer black aluminum voice coils wound with OFC wire made in USA, with voice coil construction stable up to 240 degrees Celsius. Motor and Frame: Features a double-stacked 190 Oz high-quality magnet and a cast aluminum basket with a black sanded finish for improved efficiency and reduced weight. The woofer includes a high BL magnetic motor gap and a vented hole on the T-yoke to enhance heat dissipation. Special custom rubber boot magnet covers protect the magnet and provide a clean look. Cone, Surround & Suspension: Black non-pressed paper cone engineered for superior stiffness and strength. Thick foam surround reduces distortion while red stitching reinforces the cone for extended life. The woofer uses a new ultra-stiff PolyPropylene (PP) dustcap and a Nomex spider for increased tear resistance and long-term reliability compared to cotton or poly-cotton spiders.
