Motor & Voice Coil Assembly: Voice Coils are made in the USA! 3 4-Layer Black Aluminum Voice Coils Wound with Aluminum Wire. Coils are rated to withstand high temperatures of 300-350C. The motor uses Triple-Stacked 300 Oz Y35 Magnets (Y35 is a top-grade magnet material and often outperforms many heavier 400 oz designs). A 1-Piece Chrome T-Yoke with Stamped Logo improves magnetization, increases excursion (xmax) and raises the BL rating — BL being a key indicator of motor output and efficiency. Construction & Materials: Cast Aluminum Basket With Black Sanded Finish keeps the sub lightweight and efficient. Black Non-Pressed Paper Cone provides an ultra-stiff cone that resists flexing under load. Extra Thick Foam Surround delivers cleaner sound with minimal distortion, and Silver Stitching Cone reinforcement extends longevity. Shiny Paper Dustcap (Paper is the best material and can withstand even higher temperatures than polypropylene dustcaps).
