Overview: The Rockville APM10B is a 10" active studio subwoofer delivering 400 Watt peak power with 200 Watt RMS. It features a built-in Class D Amplifier and a fully engineered enclosure constructed from high-grade MDF wood (not particleboard) for superior acoustic performance. Enclosure & Finish: The cabinet uses top quality MDF with an overall panel thickness of 0.7 thick and a reinforced front board at a full 1.34 thickness to improve rigidity and sound clarity. Available finish options include wood finish painted black, wood finish painted white, and wood finish with vinyl front board. A baking paint formulated for wood surfaces is applied to provide a durable matte finish with a subtle sheen to complement studio or room decor. Acoustic Design: The enclosure is tuned with the optimal internal air space and a front-firing port shaped by sound engineers to reduce port turbulence and deliver distortion-free top-end performance. Rubber woofer surrounds reduce unwanted distortions and improve low-frequency behavior. Electronics & Controls: Class D Amplifier Circuitry with Auto-Switching Power Supply provides efficient power handling. LED Power on/Stand-by Indicator on Rear Panel offers clear status feedback. A Computer Optimized Electronic Crossover Network filters out Highs and Mids to focus the subwoofer on low-frequency reproduction. Driver & Performance: We developed the most optimized magnet structure, cone, and cabinet space to reproduce material exactly as recorded. Specially Wound Voice Coils produce accurate response across the low-frequency spectrum, yielding clean, distortion-free playback even at high volume. Manufacturing Quality: Our factory uses a Precision Glue Machine (Over 500 meter Tunnel Oven) to ensure long-lasting adhesive bonds on the woofers, improving reliability and durability over time.
