Customer Questions & Answers lets registered customers ask product-specific questions and share answers based on their experience. Questions and answers appear after moderation.

Ask about the product itself, especially details another customer may know from using it. For example: Does this camera take good pictures in low light? How long does this laptop battery last while watching movies? Does this computer have noisy cooling fans?

What shouldn't I ask?

Posts must be product questions or answers. Do not post about shipping or delivery, availability, a specific order, customer service, or material that violates our community rules. Use our FAQ or your account for order and support help. Links and contact information are not allowed in submissions.

How do I ask a question?

Overview: This bundle pairs the RM4 Pro universal IR/RF remote hub with the HTS2 sensor cable to provide room temperature and humidity monitoring plus power over a USB connection. Plug the HTS2 cable between the RM4 Pro and a USB adapter just like a standard USB lead. The BroadLink app will show the temperature and humidity readout for the sensor’s location, and you can create automations (for example: turn on the air conditioner when temperature rises). IR & RF compatibility: Controls over 50,000 IR devices including TV, STB, air conditioners, fans, video recorders and DVD players. RF support is limited to 433MHz fixed-code devices such as curtain/shade motors, projectors and some light switches. This product does not support RF Rolling Code devices (commonly used for gates and pellet stoves) and cannot learn Rolling Code remotes. Programming & learning: If a device profile is missing from the cloud database, you can program devices manually and use button-learning where applicable to add unsupported remotes. Voice assistants & services: Works with Alexa, Google Assistant and IFTTT via the “BroadLink” skill/service. Pair with Amazon Echo or Google Nest to voice-control IR devices — power on/off, change TV channels, or adjust AC temperature. Siri voice control is available on iPhone. Automation & sharing: Build schedules, timers, scenes and routines to automate IR and RF appliances (for example, schedule your TV to a specific channel). Household members can share control through the app using the invite/join family function. Placement & IR note: Infrared performance can be reduced by obstacles and environmental factors. For reliable IR transmission, position the RM4 Pro closer to the target appliance and keep a clear line of sight to avoid signal blockage. RF & network requirements: RM4 Pro requires a 5V 1A power adapter and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (does not support 5 GHz) for initial configuration in the BroadLink app. Confirm that any RF device you intend to control operates at 433 MHz and is not a Rolling Code product. Generally, remotes that require pairing before first use are Rolling Code. If you’re uncertain, provide the device brand and model for a compatibility check.
