Markus Fraundorfer sku-55987990 is a Latin American History Books listing for the hardcover Rethinking Global Democracy in Brazil. The book examines how democracies in the global South contribute to global governance, focusing on Brazil.

It gives students a framework for questioning Western-centred views of democratic global governance and argues that developing democracies in the global South have developed serious, sustainable approaches. Chapters cover Brazil's responses to global food security, drug purchasing, open government initiatives and internet governance.

The discussion sits within a growing literature on governance challenges including epidemics, hunger, internet surveillance and climate change, while addressing a gap in accessible published material on contributions from the global South.
